Club Events and Socialising
A varied programme of events, often suggested by members, is organised by the club’s Entertainments Officer throughout the year. In the past we have enjoyed BBQ, fish and chip supper, quiz nights, skittles and High tea as well as the annual Xmas lunches and Trophy evenings. New ideas are always welcome. If you have an idea for a social event please contact the Entertainments Officer, Dave Marchant (see Club Officers for contact details).

Yesterday, Sunday, 21st April 2024, our funeral director, Damian Norman, had the honour of visiting Lewes Bowls Club. He was invited to bowl the first bowl of the new season. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lewes Bowls Club for extending the invitation to us. It means a lot to us to be able to support such an integral part of the local community.

Sunday 21st April, was our Opening Drive. It was great to see so many of our members coming out of hibernation to play outdoors again and with some of our club sponsors, Coopers Funeral Directors of Lewes and Creative Curtains and Blinds of Hailsham, joining in also. It was a fun afternoon. The bring and share buffet ended the day nicely. Thank you to everyone who made this day happen.
Sunday 7th July 2024 was our Captain's Charity Day, this year's charity being KSSX Air Ambulance. There was a good turn out from the members and guests. Between competitions we enjoyed a delicious b.b.q, followed by a raffle and tombola. Colin from KSSX gave a brief talk on the work of the air ambulance.
The final event of the day was the Single End Competition, which was won by Brian Parsons, runner up John Woollard.
£334.60p was raised for this worthy cause. KSS tee shirts were worn by some members thanks to the generosity of KSS.
