Parking at Lewes Bowls Club
There is a car park close to our ground, but sadly, this is often full on Fixture days.
However, we have arranged with Lewes College, to use their car park, so see the following directions.

Directions to College car park, Mountfield Road.
Set your Sat Nav. for Lewes Bowls Club, Mountfield Road, Lewes, Post code - BN7 2XA. This will bring you to the Mountfield Road car park immediately alongside Lewes Football Club. The car park is a pay and display car park. It is very busy, used by commuters and visitors to the Lewes FC all-weather pitch, and spaces are frequently not available for bowls club members and visitors. If you are lucky, then park and pay for a ticket.
If there are no spaces we have made special arrangements with the College to provide free parking for the day. If you have passengers, firstly, drive into the Mountfield Road car park and head to the far end. Drop your passengers and/or bags off at this point to save carrying them further later. The bowls club is accessed across the path to the right and pass an open grassy area, known as the croquet lawn. A large grassy mound will be on your right. Then leave the car park by the exit, turn right.
A) On weekdays, (Mon - Fri) travel about 250 yards and on the left hand side take the third entrance to the college. Almost immediately turn right, pass the reserved parking areas, and into the general parking area. Students park here as well during term times. This entrance and the exit are open throughout the day.
Do not use the reserved areas or we will lose this concession.
B) At weekends the college car park is locked, so please let our Captain know in advance if you may want to use this car park so that a member can open up a different gate for you.
Travel about 300 yards and reach the car park exit, NO ENTRY is written on the ground. Turn into here and a member of Lewes BC should be there to unlock the gate for you. Turn right and the parking is immediately available. Few students are there at the weekend.
The walk back will take about ten minutes at a steady pace and along a flat pavement.
VERY IMPORTANT: Admittance to the car park will be between the times of 1.10pm and 1.30pm for a match start of 2.00pm. For security reasons, the car park will be locked outside of these times. On completion of the match, a member of the club will unlock the car park again. Make sure you tell someone that you're ready to go before leaving our clubhouse!
