Parking at Lewes Bowls Club
Should the public car park adjacent to the club be full, and on street parking in Mountfield Road also be unavailable, we have obtained permission to use the car park of the Southdown Sports Club which is located in Cockshut Road, Lewes BN7 3PR. It’s a turning off Southover High Street. The car park is on the right, opposite the main building and has a camera operated system for payment. It operates 24 hours, so be aware. You register your car and payment card at https://hozah.com/autopay Best to register in advance to save time. Prices are comparable to the local rates.
I suggest that passengers and equipment are dropped off near the club and the driver then walks to the clubhouse. Almost directly opposite the car park is a lovely stone house and there’s a foot path in front of it. Follow this path, it’s mostly flat, a few steps at one point, and it brings you out to the main playing fields and our club is above the wall to your left. Just walk up the slight slope which you can't miss and you’ll see us. 7-8 minutes gentle walk.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM 6.07.26, FOR FOUR WEEKS, COCKSHUT ROAD WILL BE CLOSED FROM SOUTHOVER HIGH STREET. ACCESS IS POSSIBLE VIA MOUNTFIELD ROAD, TURN RIGHT ON TO HAM LANE; WHERE THE FOOTBALL GROND ENDS. FOLLOW ROUND TO THE CAR SALES GARAGE. FOLLOW ROUND TO THR RIGHT, AN UNMADE ROAD, AND CONTINE TO THE END. THE CAR PARK IS N YOUR LEFT. THIS UNMADE ROAD IS NOT GOOD!
