Bowls has been played in this delightful setting in an atmosphere of friendly fun since 1922.
We have a modern Club House with good changing facilities for both men and women, a dining area and a well-stocked bar which sells drinks at low, club rates. We are a mixed club that welcomes players of all abilities and ages. Our membership gives excellent value for money and is designed to enable players to get the most out of their bowls as a newcomer or even as a county bowler. As well as club sessions we have coaching available for novices or those needing to work on their skills. We offer opportunities to play competitive bowls in our many friendly matches, league games, and club competitions. While the men compete in the Brighton, Hove & District League, a mixed team competes in the Meridian League. We also arrange a variety of very popular social events including quizzes and fish and chip nights plus Short Mat bowling in the winter months. All you need to come and try your hand at bowls is a pair of flat soled shoes. The club will be pleased to lend you bowls and show you the ropes at any convenient time or at our early season “Open Day” (for details contact the Club Secretary or another of our officers). We have 'roll up' mornings on Tuesday and Thursday between 10.00 am and 12.00 midday, and from Monday 10th June 2024, we are trialling an evening club night between 6.30 pm and about 9.00 pm. Come along and speak to us. The big thing with bowls is to take part and to have fun! So, if you would like more information on joining the Club, call our Membership Secretary: Dave Marchant on 01273 475077. |
